Aidant has been an approved D.O.T. cylinder requalification company since 1974. All services are performed in strict accordance with the “Code of Federal Regulations” as well as the “Compressed Gas
Association” and D.O.T. requirements. We have a full sized recessed loading dock which enables us to receive cylinders shipped by common carrier. Alternatively, our service truck will come to your door and bring your cylinders to our shop which is equipped with the
latest technology in proper service equipment. Our professionals are throroughly trained and certified to process all cylinders in accordance with applicable D.O.T. requirements. We provide test reports with your
order so that you can maintain a reference file on all your tested cylinders. With fast turn around, we provide the highest quality servicesavailable to all types of cylinders up to one-ton size including:

Requalification (every 5 years)/ refurbishing
We perform a diligent internal/external visual inspection, a hydrostatic test, and an internal cleaning. Once the extent of damage or wear hasbeen determined, we refurbish the cylinder by cleaning and replacing
parts as necessary. External painting or polishing included.

Hydrostatic Testing
We perform a pressure test designed to check the elasticity (the expansion and the contraction) of the cylinder with computerized accountability of test results. We can test high or low pressure cylinders. Our production shop is capable of producing 200- 300
cylinders daily.

Internal Cleaning
We have two internal shot blast systems: one for large industrial cylinders and the other for small scuba or medical cylinders. Ourshot blast systems effectively remove all internal rust, corrosion, or contaminants. For aluminum cylinders we offer a “tumbling process”. We operate two steam cleaners which effectively remove
contamination from cylinders up to 36 inches in diameter. Residues or contaminants are removed using a 180 degree hot water/ high pressure injection. High quality oxygen compatible detergent is added to internally clean medical or breathing air cylinders.

Valve Refurbishments
This includes extracting and replacing the valves.

Gas Conversions
Changing the gas service of a cylinder. Replacement of the valve and internal cleaning included.

Neck Ring Service
We remove old collars, reshape the neck, and replace neckrings using high tech equipment ensuring a quality factory-like installation and smooth finish.

Breathing Air and CO2 Filling
With the most accurate computerized scales available, we apportion the right amount of CO2 or breathing air into all cylinder sizes.

External Cleaning
We operate 2 external shot blasters capable of blast cleaning any paintbuildup from small safety caps to 36 inch diameter gas cylinders.

Finishes (painting, stencilling, or polishing)
We use high quality water based coatings which produce a high gloss finish resistant to corrosion and ultra violet rays. Custom colors and specialty epoxy coatings are available upon request. Aluminum cylinders are polished.
